Online Grocery Service To Begin Around Milwaukee
Peapod Begins Delivery SundayIf you’re finding that you just don’t have time to go to the grocery store, a solution is on its way to the Milwaukee market.
Peapod will begin delivery in the Badger State starting Sunday, April 10.
It is an online grocer that’s been around for 15 years.
Based in Lake Zurich, Ill., the company said it saves valuable time.
“I’ll have some people coming over for the weekend, and I do all my online shopping on Friday. Saturday morning, I wake up and all my groceries are there. I don’t have to worry about a thing. It’s taken two hours out of my day,” said Tony Stallone, vice president of Fresh Markets.
Deliveries will be available in Racine, Kenosha and Milwaukee counties and in eastern Waukesha County. Peapod said the service area may be extended if Peapod is well-received.
Peapod will initially make deliveries in southeastern Wisconsin only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays
It will feature local items such as Sprecher and Usinger products.
For fans who want to have a tailgate party at the Milwaukee Brewers’ home opener on Monday, the company said to get orders in by 8 p.m. Saturday for Sunday delivery.
